Mask3D4All models could improve passenger safety

The pandemic created for COVID19 is reviewing all the protocols that have been implemented so far in public health and in other areas of society. One of them focuses on how to achieve a passenger transport with health guarantees adapted to the minimization of the risks before the current most contagious variants. Recent studies are evaluating the capacity of surgical masks and FFP2 as protective elements and pointing to their correct use by users as a key element. Thus in one of the articles that seems to us of the most extensive in the thematic Rothamer et al. 2020 shows how a poor fit of masks reduces their effectiveness.
Given this situation, the Mask3D4All project has been submitted to the global competition launched at the TechChallenge by TSA to propose mask models as elements of self-protection not only valid for health hot spots, but also for improving the protection of operators and passengers themselves when traveling by plane, ship or wheeled vehicle.
In the following video submitted to the call, Dr. José Reyes Moreno showing how the efficiency of a surgical mask could be improved by avoiding bad placements thanks to a 3D mask with customization possibilities.
